Our Emergency Response Plan Includes:

A Documented Emergency Response Process In Place.

This means that if an incident occurs, all procedures are followed, in the right order. Under the stress and excitement of any kind of unexpected event, our carefully planned procedures are in place to make sure our response is handled professionally, competently and efficiently.

Involves drivers, dispatchers, terminal managers, corporate staff and external agencies.

Our emergency response plan is multi-tiered and requires the skills and readiness of each person in the chain. All our Slay Transportation team members receive training not only on how to interact and communicate with each other, but also how to communicate with outside agencies.

Employees trained to respond and are provided easy-to-use information.

In the case of a hazardous materials incident, every minute counts. So in addition to regular training, Slay Transportation employees are also provided quick reference guides to follow in the event of hazardous materials incident.

Teamwork is key. We train with corporate and local emergency responders to ensure our response is as quick and effective as possible.

Slay Transportation participates in CHEMTREC’s notification network. In the event of a transportation incident, our personnel are trained to notify CHEMTREC as soon as possible. CHEMTREC notifies our customers and provides assistance to local emergency responders. Also, CHEMTREC notifies The Spill Center, which provides emergency notification to all appropriate regulatory agencies and coordinates emergency response and remediation, if necessary, on Slay Transportation’s behalf.

Slay Transportation’s emergency procedures are reviewed frequently and modified to ensure we are ready 24/7/365.
